New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its list of 189 candidates for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. The announcement was made on Sunday, April 11, 2023. Among the list of candidates, the incumbent Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will contest from the Shiggaon constituency.

Mangaluru: Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian has obtained an injunction from the Mangalore JMFC court, preventing the publishing of any defamatory news, photos, or videos against him. The MLA, who is afraid of personal harassment, said that he has been targeted with personal attacks in various media, including social media, for the past few days.

Mangaluru: Mangaluru city was left in shock after news broke that a young entrepreneur, Oshin Pereira, had passed away during a Scuba diving session in Thailand on April 11. Oshin Pereira, aged 26, was the owner of the popular Mangalore Baking Company and was the daughter of the late Oscar Martin Pereira and Olivia Pereira from Gorigudda.

Bengaluru: The Congress party has launched a fresh attack on the BJP, accusing them of keeping former Chief Minister of Karnataka, B.S. Yeddyurappa (BSY), out of a meeting for ticket distribution. Congress claimed that BJP brought Prahlad Joshi to the meeting instead of Yeddyurappa.
