External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday held wide-ranging talks with his South Korean counterpart Park Jin to take forward the special strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in areas of trade and defence.

President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday took her maiden sortie in a fighter aircraft at Tezpur air base in Assam.

A 20-year-old student of a private college in Mangaluru, who visited the Koosalli Falls of Yadthare village, Byndoor taluk, on Friday evening, drowned when having a dip there. His body was found in the waters of the falls on Saturday morning.
