Bengaluru: Karnataka on Monday neared the 150mark of total casualties due to the deadly Coronavirus. With five more deaths between Sunday 5 pm and Monday at 5 pm, the toll in the state has climbed up to 142. After the state crossed 9000 total cases mark on Sunday, 249 fresh cases on Monday have taken the tally to 9,399.

Dammam: A chartered flight with 173 stranded Kannadigas including eight infants took off from Dammam International Airport on Monday. The flight, arranged by Saudi Kannadiga Humanity Forum (SKHF) took off from Dammam at 2 pm KSA time and is expected to land at Mangaluru Airport later at night.

Bengaluru: Active coronavirus cases in Karnataka may reach around 25,000 by August 15 if the state maintains the current compounded daily growth rate of 4 percent, a senior government official said on Monday while stressing the need to stick to social distancing and wearing masks to contain the spread of the virus.
