Bengaluru: With the number of COVID-19 cases increasing every day in the state capital, the BBMP has notified more zones across the city as containment zones for the virus. With this, the city now has 54 containment zones.

Bengaluru: A decision on reopening schools in Karnataka would be taken after August but class X board exams would be held on June 25 as per the recent schedule announced by the state government, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said on Tuesday.

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Tuesday recorded 161 new cases of Corona Virus in the state. With this the state has neared the 6000-cases mark, as the total toll of cases currently stands at 5921. The State also recorded two death cases due to the deadly virus taking the toll of deaths in the state to 66.

Udupi: Churches in Udupi District have resolved that no mass prayers or any religious activities will be held at its premises till June 30 to ensure the safety and security of the worshippers. The move comes on the back of the State government’s order permitting religious places to resume operations as the country enters phased exit from Corona lockdown.

Udupi: Karnataka Health Minister, B Sriramalu on Tuesday said people arriving from Maharashtra will not be sent to institutional quarantine and instead will be sent to 14-day home quarantine with their homes sealed down by the authorities.
