Carl Zeiss invests ₹2,500 crore in new lens manufacturing facility in India

German optics and medical technology company Carl Zeiss has announced a significant investment of ₹2,500 crore to establish a lens manufacturing facility in India. The new factory, set to commence production by June 2025, will be situated on 35 acres of land acquired from the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board.
