Bantwal: Minister UT Khader visits flood-hit areas

Dakshina Kannada’s district in-charge Minister UT Khader today visited and inspected the flood-affected regions of the taluk.

Speaking at the occasion, the minister said that the district administration has already provided an alternate shelter for the people of flood-hit areas. I have urged to take urgent and necessary steps to avoid any problems to the people. The proper action would be taken to provide relief to the flood victims only after the rain stops.


Late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee adopted his classmate's daughter

Atal Bihari Vajpayee who thrice served as the Prime Minister of India has passed away at the age of 93. He was admitted to the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here in June with kidney tract infection and chest congestion and was on life support system. He is survived by his adopted daughter and granddaughter.
