Gandhi ideology mocked in Modi's India

India is celebrating Gandhiji's 150th birth anniversary like some kind of a mockery. Modi has restricted Gandhi to just a symbol of cleaning roads. There is a reason to this. Gandhi is a memory, an indelible one, that seeps the sangh Parivar in guilt owing to the end he met at the hands of a person who believed in Sangh ideology. Hence the BJP which believes in Sangh ideology has restricted Gandhiji to a metaphor of sweeping roads. BJP leaders stand with rooms in the hands on the birth anniversary of Gandhiji clearly ignorant is all other messages and teachings. Gandhians fear whether the leaders have held broom to sweep away his other values such as non violence, coexistence, harmony and secularism.

Number of vehicle commuters who died on the roads are even higher than this. More than a lakh and half people died on the roads in 2016 in about 5 lakh accidents.

Indo-Pak talks should not be aborted

India and Pakistan are neighbours. For the same reason, they have to be in good terms with each other. It is also in the interest of both countries that they are connected with each other over many matters apart from borders, for the many reasons including their commonalities in culture, way of life and people who share a history that belonged to a few generations in both nations. But owing to mistakes made by ruling dispensations, both countries have been breathing hot and cold over many years.

Soon after former President of France Francois Hollande broke his silence over the Rafale deal, leaders of both India and France have been deeply embarrassed. Hollande’s statement has been such a blow to Indian government which had maintained that France decided all the terms and conditions of this deal. Modi government had recently said French company Dassault Aviation had chosen Anil Ambani’s company as their Indian partner and India had no role in this deal. In an interview, Hollande said Ambani’s company was suggested as partner by Indian government and they had no role in choosing an interlocutor. Surgical strike day: Let’s not make mockery of sacrifice by army

It is imperative that we remember the sacrifices our soldiers made, even as we hail the accomplishments of modern day India. If the nation has been able to stand shoulder to shoulder with many other strong countries post-independence, the main reason for this is the most noble form of sacrifice made by our soldiers. One of the most significant achievements of modern India is that its army has never interfered with democracy. Both segments have maintained a good distance between each other.
