Patna HC strikes down Bihar's quota hike from 50 to 65 pc

The Patna High Court on Thursday struck down the increase in reservations effected in Bihar last year when quotas were raised from 50 to 65 per cent for Dalits, backward classes and tribals in government jobs and educational institutions.

The Supreme Court has today stayed the proceedings in petitions filed in the Rajasthan, Calcutta, and Bombay High Courts regarding the alleged paper leak in the NEET-UG 2024 exam, which took place on May 5 this year.
