Radio France Journalist departs India following work permit denial by MHA

New Delhi: Sebastien Farcis, a South Asian correspondent for Radio France Internationale, departed India on Monday after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) denied the renewal of his work permit, despite multiple appeals. Farcis is the second French journalist to leave India within four months, following Vanessa Dougnac's departure in February.

 


EC receives applications for EVM verification on 8 LS seats in 6 states

New Delhi: The Election Commission has received eight applications from aggrieved candidates, including those from the BJP and the Congress, for verification of tampering or modification in micro-controller chips embedded in the EVMs post declaration of Lok Sabha election results on June 4.
