An armed militant was arrested by the security forces on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district during a cordon and search operation.

Child lifting rumour claims another life, Mentally ill woman lynched by mob in MP

Child lifting rumours claimed yet another life, this time in Madhya Pradesh. A 25-year-old mentally challenged woman was allegedly lynched by a mob in Morwa region of Singrauli district late on Saturday on suspicion of being a child lifter. This is another such incident in the list of cases of lynching over child theft rumours. Over 30 people have been killed in different incidents across the country over child lifting rumours over the past two months.
