Kadaba: A man died on the spot and another injured when an elephant attacked them while they were sleeping outside a labors' shed in the limits of Kadaba police station on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as a Madhurai resident Ranjit (52), a railway employee; and the injured as Lakshman. Borth of them were construction-labors, and went for a bridge repair work near Anekal Railway Bridge.
It is said that due to extreme heat the duo was sleeping outside the shed. The elephant attacked them while they were deep asleep.
Kadaba police have registered a case.
