Kadaba: In a rare incident, a wild elephant attacked a car on Saturday morning on the Uppinangady-Subrahmaniya state highway following which a man and six others, all traveling in the car, sustained severe and minor injuries respectively. 

Girish of Chikkamagaluru, along with his eight family members, was traveling in an Omni car. The elephant's aggressive attack took place when they were proceeding from Dharmasthala to Subrahmanya. A wild animal was crossing the road when they reached near Whitefield. The car driver, who noticed the elephant, stopped the car near the elephant. At this moment, the elephant suddenly attacked the vehicle. Fortunately, a bus approached pressing horns due to which the elephant left the car and went into the forest. 

The front portion of the car was completely damaged in the incident. A man was severely injured, and six others sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.

According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.

Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
