Kundapura, September 23: A two-wheeler rider died in an accident that happened as a snake appeared on the road suddenly on Koteshwara-Halady road near Kalavara village on Sunday.
The deceased is identified as Gangadhar Achar (36) of Haladi.
At 12.15 pm, Bennekudru resident Sudhakar Shetty was moving towards Hunsemakki from Kundapura in his car. When he reached Kalavara railway bridge, he noticed a snake on the road due to which, he applied brakes
suddenly and stopped his car. The two-wheeler rider Gangadhar who was just behind that car, took towards right side of the car to pass on.
But he rammed to a car coming from opposite direction. Due to this, Gangadhar sustained head injuries. Though he was rushed to Kundapura hospital, he was declared brought dead. Kundapura traffic police registered a case.

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
