Three people sustained injuries when their car overturned after hitting a roadside barricade near Jarigekatte Church in Mundkur early Friday morning. The accident occurred while they were traveling from Shivamogga to Mangaluru on the state highway.

A daring robbery took place at the Talapadi KC Road branch of Kotekar Co-operative Bank on Friday afternoon when five armed robbers, arriving in a car, stormed the branch. They threatened the staff at gunpoint, forcing them to hand over valuables.

A 22-year-old local youngster, Abubakar Siddique Razvi, was killed in a collision between his two-wheeler and a goods transport vehicle near Nadupadavu under the jurisdiction limits of Konaje Police Station on Friday morning.
