Attack on Dalit woman in Manipal for feeding stray dogs: Accused sent to judicial custody

Udupi: Chandrakanth Bhat, who was arrested under charge of brutally assaulting a 50-year-old Dalit woman recently for feeding stray dogs near his house at Indrali in Hayagriva Nagar, has been remanded in 14 days of judicial custody.

 


Puttur court orders imprisonment, imposes fine on man for brutally attacking 12-year-old nephew

The Puttur court that heard the case related to assault of a 12-year-old boy six years ago ordered a 1.5 year imprisonment of the guilty person, Charlie Menezes of Perne, and imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 to the convict.
