The police have arrested an auto driver for his alleged indecent behavior at the female students' hostel of Kodagu Medical College. The incident has triggered protests by college students who are voicing concerns over inadequate security measures at the hostel.

In an incident reported from Sullia a couple, hailing from Tamil Nadu and employed as rubber tappers in the Elimale fields for several years, allegedly took their own lives in their residence. The unfortunate incident came to light on Tuesday morning.
