A biker and a pillion rider died after their bike collided with a tanker on the national highway in Cheruvathur Kovval on Thursday night.

Four members of a family allegedly committed suicide in a room of Karuna Residency on KS Rao Road in the city. 

Mangaluru 30, March: Mangaluru Police Commissioner Kuldeep Jain on Thursday evening met protesters at the Bendoorwell Circle who were protesting against the police department and authorities claiming that they had failed to regulate traffic in the city.

Mangaluru: Locals in Mangaluru on Thursday staged a protest against the police department and local administration over their failure in administering and regulating traffic at key junctions in the city. The protest was staged after a 55-year-old woman died on the spot after being mowed down by a private bus at Bendorwell Junction here.

A 55-year-old woman died on spot as a city bus mowed her down as she was crossing the road near Bendoorwell in the city at Thursday noon.

A youngster, aged 21 years, died on Thursday morning, after he fell from the 14th floor of an apartment in a residential complex in the city accidentally.
