CFI activists detained as they protest invitation to Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat to M’luru varsity event

In the wake of the inauguration of the Mangaluru University Student Organization at Mangalagangotri Campus in Konaje, the Campus Front Mangaluru unit student activists staged a protest and laid siege outside the university opposing the invitation extended to RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat who was invited to inaugurate the event at Mangaluru University.

210 students in Udupi skip SSLC examination on first day; officials say nothing to do with Hijab row

Udupi: As many as 210 students in the Udupi district were reported absent on the first day of the SSLC examination which commenced on Monday. The examinations were held at 58 centres in the Udupi district.

Mangaluru: A total of 350 students who were supposed to appear for the first paper of the SSLC examination on Monday in Dakshina Kannada district, skipped the exam and remained absent for the paper.

St Joseph engineering college conducts agricultural camp at Manjotti, helps local communities

As a part of its Educational Social Responsibility (ESR) and with intention of reaching out to the needs of the rural community, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, organized an agriculture camp at Manjotti Village in Belthangady Taluk. The camp was spread over three phases and helped the villagers to a great extent. The major objective of the camp was to give the students rural exposure and engage them in community activities.
