Team Mangalore, the city’s renowned kite-flying group, is set to participate in the prestigious international kite festival in France beginning September 13. The team, led by Sarvesh Rao, will showcase two uniquely designed kites—both carrying strong cultural and environmental messages.

A suo motu case has been filed by Puttur Town Police against a social media user who was allegedly sharing messages with an intention of giving rise to communal clashes.

Just as excavation work was about to begin at the 11th identified spot in the Dharmasthala case, the complainant unexpectedly led the SIT team away from the marked site and deep into the surrounding forest.
