In an incident of a reported suicide, a young woman jumped into the lake and killed herself near her house in the vicinity of the Vitla Panchalingeshwara Temple on Monday.

The Bantwal City Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act concerning the gang rape of a minor girl which reportedly occurred at Amtadi.
