A group of netizens in Dakshina Kannada district has formed an anti-fake news team during the coronavirus outbreak, calling themselves DK Corona Warriors.

Contrary to the media reports the Dakshina Kannada District Administration on Friday confirmed that there was no seal down in the District in the wake of the spread of coronavirus.

Taking note of the viral messages that are doing round on local social media platforms along with old video clips of Mangaluru Police Commissioner, Dr. PS Harsha saying that there was no curfew in the city today, Qazi Thwaqa Ahmed Musliyar has urged people to not pay heed to fake news and messages and called on them to offer Zuhr prayers at home.

Mangaluru: In a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada, district administration and Department of Health has set up 13 ‘Fever Clinics’ across the district.

Mangaluru: Local police on Thursday continued to seize vehicles which were on roads despite there being lockdown in the city and movement of vehicular movement banned in the District.

HIF delegation included Secretary Ausaf Hussain, Executive members Nazim SS, Adel Parvez, Nabeel Kudroli and Saleem Makkah.

Mangaluru: In a moving incident that took place in Mangaluru when the volunteers of Highland Islamic Forum were returning after distributing kits of essentials to the poor and underprivileged two needy ladies who claimed to have not eaten proper food from over a week secured food kits for themselves.
