Bengaluru: In the wake of Lok Sabha Elections that will be held in two phases in Karnataka on April 18 and 23 respectively. The Common Entrance Test (CET) has been postponed by the authorities to avoid collision of two events.
Earlier, the CET was scheduled on April 23 and 24, colliding with the date of second phase of Lok Sabha Elections.
To avoid the collision which would lead to cause inconvenience to the students to cast their votes, the exams have now been postponed to new dates. The exams will now be conducted on April 29 and 30.
The revised schedule of the exams announced by the authorities is as follows.
Biology exam will be conducted on April 29 between 10:30 to 11.50 am, Maths exams will be conducted on the same afternoon between 2:30 to 3:50pm.
On April 30, Physics exams will be held 10:30 to 11.50 am, while in the afternoon between 2:30 to 3:50pm Chemistry paper will be conducted. Kannada Language paper will exams will be conducted on May 1, according to the revised time-table.

Chamarajanagar: The MM Hills police have arrested a woman for allegedly selling illegal ganja to visitors and tourists atop the Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Hanur Taluk here.
The arrested accused has been identified as Bhagya (40), a resident of the area.
Acting on specific information regarding the illegal sale of ganja, the raid was conducted under the guidance of Chamarajanagar Superintendent of Police Dr. B. T. Kavita and Kollegala Sub-Division Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhamendra. The operation was led by MM Hills Police Station Inspector Jagadish.

During the raid, the police seized 230 grams of ganja allegedly procured by the accused for sale. A case has been registered, and the accused has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
Sub-Inspector Jayaram, staff members Siddaramaiah, Ramesh, Mahesh, and Shivamurthy participated in the raid.
