The newly-elected Congress MLAs in Karnataka are meeting here on Sunday evening to discuss government formation with leaders eliciting their views on the Chief Ministerial candidate.

A high-level committee comprising the Prime Minister, Chief Justice of India and the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha met on Saturday evening and shortlisted three senior IPS officers for the post of CBI Director, sources said.

As the recounting of votes for jayanagar assembly constituency has been completed, BJP's Ramamurthy has emerged as the winner. Meanwhile, Congress Candidate Sowmya Reddy who was termed the winner earlier lost after recounting by a margin of 16 votes.
