Bengaluru: In protest against the "imposition of Hindi", Kannada organisations on Tuesday held a twitter campaign and picketing in front of banks in several parts of Karnataka, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

Bengaluru: A research scholar at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science here, allegedly died by suicide at his hostel room in the campus, police said on Tuesday.

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Monday reported 673 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 29,62,408 and death toll to 37,517, the health department said.

Local police have arrested four people in connection with an incident of a woman being forcefully stripped and assaulted about nine months ago. The incident reportedly took place in the outskirts of Shahapur Nagar.

Chikkaballapura: At least six people were killed and several others were injured in an accident involving a jeep and a lorry at Marinayakanahalli in Chintamani taluk here, police sources said on Sunday.
