Karnataka winter legislature session in Bengaluru, not in flood-hit Belagavi

Bengaluru: The Karnataka cabinet on Wednesday decided to hold the winter session of the state legislature from October 14 to 26 at the 'Vidhana Soudha', the state secretariat here and not in Belagavi, as is the practice, as most parts of the district have been ravaged by floods.

Mangaluru: Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday added that the Central Government was monitoring flood situations in various states and would provide adequate flood relief funds to every state. He added that there was no need for an all-party delegation to meet PM in this regard.
