Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday announced an assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to those who have lost their houses completely in the floods and landslides, to take up construction work.

 In a tragic accident, a boat carrying rescue operation in Koppal District’s flood hit area has reportedly sunk in the water. The boat was also carrying NDRF and Fire Brigade officials when the incident took place.
