Hyderabad: A BJP government is expected to take charge in Karnataka next week, party national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao claimed Wednesday.

Bengaluru: Hailing the Supreme Court direction on Karnataka political crisis, rebel Congress-JDS MLAs camping in Mumbai Wednesday said there was no question of going back on their resignations from the Assembly or attending the session.

Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa Wednesday welcomed the Supreme court order on the political crisis, asserting that it was a "moral victory" for the rebel MLAs, whose resignations have pushed the ruling Congress-JDS coalition to the brink of collapse.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar on Wednesday welcomed the Supreme Court decision putting the onus on him to decide on the resignations of rebel MLAs, and said he would conduct himself responsibly in accordance with the principles of the Constitution.

New Delhi: A Supreme Court Bench led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi on Wednesday added that Karnataka Assembly Speaker was free to decide on rebel MLAs’ resignation and that he should take the decision soon.
