Government employees good news! 4th Saturdays to be government holiday in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka Cabinet Thursday decided to declare fourth Saturdays a holiday for state government employees in addition to second Saturdays.

 


Karnataka: Dalit man in Dy.CM's constituency faces boycott, fine from villagers for entering temple

Koratagere: A dalit man along with his wife, son and daughter was boycotted from a village in Koratagere Taluk (sub-division), for entering Doddamma temple of Mallekavu village in the Taluk on May 20. The temple authorities have also slapped the dalit man with a fine of Rs 25,000 for cleansing the temple which they alleged was polluted by his entry.
