Koppal: In a disturbing incident, more than 30 Dalits from Jampura village in Karatagi taluk were grievously injured after being attacked by members of the upper caste for opposing the construction of public toilets near their colony. The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at Karatagi Sub-divisional Hospital, Gangavathi Sub-divisional Hospital, and Koppal District Hospital.

A biker had a close encounter with wild elephants while riding on the national highway connecting Bandipur National Park in Karnataka and Ooty in Tamil Nadu. The incident, which took place on Friday, was captured on video by an eye-witness.

A group of animals, including eight gharials and a jungle cat, arrived safely at Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) in Bengaluru after their transport truck overturned in Telangana. The animals were being relocated from Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, Patna, as part of an animal exchange program.
