CCB nabs four repeat offenders, recovers ₹45 lakh worth of stolen goods in Mysuru

The City Crime Branch (CCB) has apprehended four repeat offenders with extensive criminal records in connection with multiple burglary and theft cases across Mysuru, Mandya, and Bengaluru. The accused, who formed a gang while serving time in prison, were released on April 26 and committed eleven crimes, including burglary, robbery, theft, drug peddling, and bike lifting, within four months.

 


Actor Darshan, associates face FIRs over alleged prison privileges

Two FIRs have been registered against Kannada actor Darshan and several rowdy-sheeters for allegedly receiving special privileges while imprisoned at Bengaluru's Central Jail. The complaints were filed at the Parappana Agrahara police station on Monday evening, following reports of violations of prison regulations.

A fresh controversy has emerged in Karnataka after BJP MP Lahar Singh Siroya accused the state government of misusing power in the allocation of land to a trust chaired by Rahul Kharge, son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The allegations center around the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board’s (KIADB) decision to allot five acres in the Hitech Defence and Aerospace Park near Bengaluru to the Siddhartha Vihara Education Trust, which is chaired by Rahul Kharge.
