India wins Asia Cup, defeats Pakistan in final by five wickets

Dubai: India on Sunday defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup final at the Dubai International Stadium here to become the Asian champions once again.
Riding on brilliant knocks of Tilak Verma 69 (off 53 deliveries) and all-rounder Shivam Dube 33 (off 22 deliveries) India chased the target of 147 set by Pakistan.
Earlier, batting first Pakistan had set a target of 147 with the help of a half-century by opener Sahibzada Farhan and handy contribution by Fakhar Zaman.
With this, India lifted the Asia Cup for the ninth time in the history of the tournament.

5.2-magnitude quake jolts Manipur
Imphal/Shillong (PTI): Manipur was struck by an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The quake occurred at 5.59 am with its epicentre located in Kamjong district, they added.
Tremors were felt in neighbouring Ukhrul district and state capital Imphal, and even Meghalaya but no casualty or damage has been reported so far.
