Alaska: Reports have surfaced that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bodyguards carried a special suitcase to collect his faecal waste during his summit with former US President Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday.

According to The Express, the unusual practice is meant to prevent foreign intelligence agencies from gathering information about Putin’s health. The report, citing investigative journalists Regis Gente and Mikhail Rubin, claimed that members of the Federal Protection Service (FPS) — responsible for Putin’s security, store his waste in sealed bags and transport it back to Russia in designated briefcases.

The report further stated that this security measure has been in place for years. It was also reportedly used during Putin’s 2017 visit to France and his trip to Vienna, where he is said to have relied on a portable toilet. Journalist Farida Rustamova also quoted a source as saying the practice has been followed since Putin first assumed leadership in 1999.

Speculation over the Russian President’s health has been ongoing for years. During a press conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, in November 2023, Putin was seen moving his legs repeatedly, sparking concerns about possible medical conditions. Dr. Bob Berookhim, quoted by The Express US, suggested the movements could be linked to Parkinson’s disease.

Similar observations were made during Putin’s meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in 2023, when he was seen twitching. Other unverified claims cited in the report suggested that Putin may have suffered a cardiac arrest in the past and required urgent treatment at his residence.

The fresh claims about the so-called “poop suitcase” emerged alongside the Alaska meeting, where Putin and Trump reportedly discussed peace talks over the ongoing Ukraine conflict.

New Delhi (PTI): A 30-year-old man was found hanging at his residence in northeast Delhi's Jafrabad area on Thursday, with police suspecting that matrimonial discord may have driven him to take the extreme step, an official said.

Information was received from Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital regarding a person who had been brought dead, he said.

During enquiry, the deceased was identified as Chand (30), a resident of Welcome area. Police said he was staying with his brother at a house in Jafrabad where he was allegedly found hanging.

According to police, Chand was first taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital by family members after they found him in an unconscious state, and was declared brought dead.

The family later shifted him to LNJP Hospital seeking a second medical opinion, where doctors again declared him dead, police said.

Police said the body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.

During preliminary verification, it came to light that Chand was facing matrimonial issues. His wife had reportedly left him and shifted to her parental home following disputes between the couple, police said, adding that the angle is being examined as part of the investigation.

Crime and forensics teams were informed and necessary legal proceedings are underway, police said.
