Dhaka: A video is currently circulating on social media with claims that it shows recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh by fundamentalists, suggesting that Hindus are being forced to jump from rooftops to escape brutality. However, a fact-check reveals that this claim is false.
The video, dated August 5, 2024, does not depict any religious violence against Hindus. Instead, it shows an incident involving a police building in Keraniganj, Dhaka. The building in question is the office of DB South, Dhaka Zilla. The incident occurred after Sheikh Hasina's fall from power, leading to public unrest due to the police's harsh actions against civilian and student protests.
It is important to note that "Bangladesh Police" is visible on the building's nameplate in the video, further confirming that the video has no connection to any religious violence.

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
