60% of PM Modi's Twitter followers are fake: Twitter audit reveals
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has many credentials to his name, but his most talked about credential of being the most followed Indian leader on Twitter with 41 million followers should be underplayed given that more than 60% of his followers are fake.
A twitter audit revealed that most world leaders, including our Prime Minister, may have more than fifty per cent fake followers in their twitter profiles. This includes US President Donald Trump, Pope Francis, and King Salman.
Not to brag, but Mr. Modi seems to be at the top of that ladder. According to the report, 24180000 of Modi’s 40300000 twitter followers are fake. These include internet bots-an automated application used to imitate workings of accounts of actual humans, thereby imitating them, and inactive followers.

Davangere: Two policemen injured in stone pelting during Ganesha procession
Davangere: Reports state that two groups engaged in stone pelting at each other during Ganesha idol immersion ceremony in Davangere on Thursday. Two police personnel were injured in the incident.
Few days ago, two groups of youth engaged in verbal altercation regarding raising of a flag for Eid Milad celebration. On account of the clashes, police had heightened security for the Ganesha procession. Despite the additional security, stones were pelted at the procession, sources stated. Inspector Gururaj and constable Raghavendra were injured in the incident. The procession continued after the police brought the situation to control. However, the stone pelting resumed once again as the procession surged forwards.
Security has been tightened up in the area and all shops have been closed down by the police. The two police personnel, who were injured in the stone pelting, are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
