Mumbai: (Press Release) LIC of India and The Department of Posts, Government of India have entered into an Agreement for Print to Post solutions.
The Print to Post solutions is provided by the Department of Posts, Government of India for printing and dispatch of the Policy Booklet issued under a Life Insurance policy. LIC of India is availing these solutions and an Agreement to that effect was signed at the Headquarters of LIC in Mumbai on Monday, the 27th of September 2021, in the presence of high ranked officials of LIC of India and The Department of Posts, Government of India.
Present for the event were Shri.M.R.Kumar, Chairperson of LIC of India and the Managing Directors, Shri. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Shri. Raj Kumar, Ms. Mini Ipe, and Shri. Praveen Kumar, Executive Director (New Business & Reinsurance). The Department of Posts, Government of India was represented by Shri. Ajay Kumar Roy, Dy. Director General, Postal Directorate, New Delhi, Smt. T M Sreelatha, Post Master General &Shri. K A Devaraj, Director of Postal Services (Headquarters), Telengana Circle and Shri. Ganesh V Sawaleshwarkar, Post Master General, Navi Mumbai Region, Maharashtra Circle.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson of LIC of India congratulated the Department of Posts for entering into this venture and said that, Product delivery is of utmost importance to LIC of India. He informed that India Post has gone a long way in combining Digitalisation & Technology to bring out new initiatives and through this collaboration between the two giants, Telangana Circle has taken the lead and he hoped that this venture is replicated across the country. Finally he concluded by saying that LIC of India also has brought out many Digital Initiatives and this Print to Post solutions is the missing piece in the complete Digitalisation, which has now plugged the gap.
Ajay Kumar Roy, the Dy. Director General of the Postal Directorate at New Delhi, who spoke on the occasion, said that “Delivery on the Day of Receipt” is the working theme of India Post. He also highlighted the long and historical relationship between LIC of India and Department of Posts and this venture would only go to strengthen the relationship.
A commemorative Poster was released to mark the occasion, which rightly defined the motto behind this venture between the two Institutions; Customer Experience is Important to us.
In his closing remarks, the Managing Director of LIC, Mukesh Kumar Gupta while congratulating the departments on this historic agreement said that the End-to-end solutions would provide the much needed fillip in the issue of Policy Documents with reduced TAT to enhance the Customer experience.

Chennai: Actor-politician Vijay has reportedly not been invited to take oath as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after failing to demonstrate support from the required number of MLAs, sources in Raj Bhavan said.
According to media reports that quoted sources in the office of R.N. Ravi Arlekar, Vijay could not prove the backing of 118 legislators, the majority mark in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly.
Despite last-minute efforts to secure support from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazagam (AMMK), and an IUML legislator, Vijay reportedly managed support from only 116 MLAs, falling short by two members.
Sources said Vijay failed to submit letters of support from the VCK and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
Later, the IUML issued a statement clarifying that it was not part of the TVK-led alliance.
Meanwhile, AMMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran is also said to have informed the Governor that his party would support the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) instead.
Earlier in the evening, Vijay had met Governor Arlekar and staked claim to form the government, stating that he enjoyed the support of 118 MLAs.
