Over 5.56 lakh FIRs registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita since July 1

Over 5.56 lakh First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered across the country under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) ever since its introduction on July 1, a senior official said on Wednesday.

 


One Nation One Election cleared by Union Cabinet

The Union Cabinet, led by the Modi government, has approved the report from the high-level committee chaired by former President Ram Nath Kovind on the proposal for 'One Nation, One Election.' The committee's recommendations include holding simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and state Assemblies, followed by synchronised local body polls within 100 days.
