Andhra Pradesh officially transitions away from Hyderabad as capital: What you need to know

Starting from today, Hyderabad officially ends its tenure as the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as per the provisions outlined in Section 5(1) of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. This marks the culmination of a transition period that began on June 2, 2014, when Hyderabad was designated as the common capital for both states for a period not exceeding ten years.


SKM retains power in Sikkim, wins 19 seats in 32-member assembly
