Delhi court stays FIR direction against police officers in illegal detention plea

A Delhi court has stayed the execution of a magistrate's order directing registration of an FIR against police officers over allegations of illegal detention and custodial assault after the station house officer (SHO) of Adarsh Nagar police station challenged the direction in revision.


School van driver arrested in Badlapur for alleged molestation of four-year-old student

Badlapur West police on Thursday arrested a 37-year-old school van driver on charges of molesting a four-year-old girl, registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused was taken into custody late in the evening and is scheduled to be produced before a court on Friday, senior inspector Kishor Shinde said.
