ITO, Rajghat areas flooded; Kejriwal directs officials to seek help of Army, NDRF

Floodwaters of the overflowing Yamuna reached the entrance of the Supreme Court in Central Delhi on Friday while the busy ITO intersection and Rajghat were submerged as a regulator of the Delhi Irrigation and Flood Control Department suffered damage, exacerbating the already dire situation.

 


Deceased BJP functionary was not present at protest site during lathi-charge: Police

The Bihar Police claimed that deceased BJP functionary Vijay Kumar Singh was not killed in lathi-charge as he was not present at the protest site in Patna when the police action took place, while the saffron party iterated he was "very much present" at the spot.

Chain-snatchers land in pothole, then in jail

An accident caused by a pothole on the road led to the arrest of two chain snatchers in Maharashtra's Palghar district. Two motorcycle-borne men snatched a woman's chain near the Vasai railway station on the night on June 30, said senior inspector Sampatrao Patil of Manikpur police station.
