Sacked IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt sentenced to life imprisonment in 30-year old custodial death case

New Delhi: Sacked IPS Officer has been sentenced to life imprisonment under section 302 of IPC by a Jamnagar Court in the 30-year old custodial death case, along with Bhatt, another officer Praveen Singh Jhala has also been sent to jail for life.

Fire at 10-storeyed residential building in Delhi, firemen rescue 100 residents

 A fire broke out at a 10-storeyed residential building in northwest Delhi's Pitampura, a Delhi Fire Service official said Thursday.

About 100 residents were safely rescued and no one was injured in the fire late Wednesday night, the official said.
