'Modi regime fascist, must be dethroned at any cost'

Terming the Narendra Modi regime at the centre as a "fascist power" that is destroying the country's economy and creating hatred among people by fueling communal unrest, a section of Bengal's civil society on Wednesday appealed to the people to make removal of the BJP and RSS from power as their topmost priority.


Ishrat case: Court reserves order on discharge plea for August 4

A Special CBI Court here on Wednesday reserved its verdict for August 4 on the discharge pleas of two retired police officers D.G. Vanzara and N.K. Amin in the 2004 Ishrat Jahan shootout case even as her mother strongly opposed the plea.
