A gang of criminals on Thursday shot dead the guard of a van belonging to a private cash collection agency and looted Rs 52 lakh cash in Bihar's Samastipur district, police said.

A class X student of a private inter college allegedly shot at his school principal with a country-made weapon on Wednesday after he was expelled from the school due to his violent behaviour with other students.
