Kasaragod, Feb 16: CPM national general secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the BJP is politicising the Pulwama terror attack.
Speaking to reporters at Manjeshwar during his visit to Kasaragod to participate in LDF Jana Samrakshana Yatre, on Saturday, he said that there was no alliance with the Congress in West Bengal. The aim of the CPM was to defeat both the Congress and TMC. In the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the left parties would emerge as a big force and 2004 result would be repeated in 2019, he exuded Confidence.
As to why the BJP, which has been speaking about equality between man and woman, is opposing the entry of women into Sabarimala temple? While implementing the triple talaq, the BJP was saying that both male and female were equal. But in Sabarimala issue, it was taking double standard. It was politicising such issues only to get votes, he alleged.
