Karkala: Bus-Tipper collision; student died, 21 Injured
Karkala, Feb 23: A student died and 21 others injured in a bus-tipper head on collision at Jantra on Belmannu- Shirva road on Saturday evening. Among 21 injured, the condition of four persons is said to be critical. The deceased has been identified as Mokshita (18) , daughter of shivananda poojary of Neermarga.
The tipper collided with the bus heading towards Shirva from Belmannu and in the accident, bus toppled due to which Mokshita died on the spot and four others sustained severe injuries and were admitted to Ajjarakadu district hospital. Three other injured persons were admitted to Shirva hospital and six others Manipal KMC hospital. Karkala rural police registered a case.

Reports claim Burj Al Arab hit by Iranian missile, videos surface
Dubai: Unverified reports circulating on social media claim that the Burj Al Arab has been hit by an Iranian missile, with videos showing part of the building engulfed in flames.
The footage, which has not been independently verified, appears to show fire and smoke rising from a section of the hotel.
However, there has been no official confirmation from UAE authorities regarding any strike on the Burj Al Arab.
No details are available at this stage about possible damage or casualties. Authorities are yet to issue a formal statement on the reported incident.
