Karkala: After a college student died falling from a moving bus, students in the locality staged a protest, the demonstration was led by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday.
The deceased student identified as Janith Shetty (19) a resident of Mala, fell off the moving bus on Wednesday.
The protest was led by the students' frustration over the lack of a proper bus system, which they believe led to the tragic death of the student.

The protesting students voiced their anger not only towards the private bus operators but also towards the transport department for failing to address the indiscipline and safety issues in private buses.
In addition, the students also demanded an increase in the number of buses, especially during college hours, to prevent such incidents.
