Mangaluru:  Though ten years have passed, the government has not taken serious note of the mysterious death case of former Qazi of Mangaluru CM Abdullah Chembarikka Ustad. A massive protest conference will be held at Kozhikode Mudalakkulam grounds on February 28 to demand the reinvestigation of this case. To create awareness regarding this, the Arshadis Association will take out a protest march in Dakshina Kannada district on February 23 and 24, said Khalilur Rahman, president of Dakshina Kannada Arshadi Ulama Federation.

Addressing a press meet in the City today, he said, "The family members and students and members of Chembarika Ustad have been struggling and carrying out protests demanding justice for last nine years."

"A signature campaign is being held for around 150 days near Kasargod bus stand. The protesters are being threatened despite giving the intimation to the investigation team. No action was taken against the people behind the mysterious death. Hence, it has been decided to intensify the protest," he added.

Tasleem Arshadi, Shareef Arshadi, Saleem Arshadi, and others were present.
