Mangaluru, October 31: The CCB police arrested a main accused who supplies cocaine from Goa to the local peddlers.

Hailed from Kasaragod and settled in Goa Candolim Dokle Anavaddo, Ajmal Pulikkal (44) was the accused.

In August, the Mangaluru CCB police arrested five accused on charges of having cocaine at Maroli in Mangaluru city East police station limits and recovered Rs 70,000 worth cocaine, three cars, cash and mobile phones from them. But the main accused Ajmal who has been supplying the drug to these accused was absconding. Acting on a tip off, the CCB police arrested the accused. He was facing a case on having fake passport at Ullala police station in 2008.

CCB inspector Shanthaveera and staff, Mangaluru city East police station inspector Maruti Nayak and staff participated in the operation.

Mangaluru: Urva Police on Tuesday arrested two individuals on charges of selling the narcotic drug MDMA. The accused have been identified as Syed Kalimulla (31) of Ramanagara in Shivamogga district and Ashraf Ali (26) of Mangalpady in Manjeshwar.

The arrests were made near Barebail on National Highway 66, where the two were reportedly moving suspiciously. Upon interrogation, they revealed that they had arrived to sell MDMA.

Police seized 12.27 grams of MDMA worth ₹25,000 and a mobile phone valued at ₹7,000 from Syed Kalimulla. From Ashraf Ali, officers confiscated 6.18 grams of MDMA valued at ₹12,500 along with a mobile phone, officials said.
