Mangaluru: Police constable commits suicide
Mangaluru: A police constable who was deployed at the Kadri police station here in the city, committed suicide on Saturday morning at his residence.
The deceased has been identified as Lokanath (35), a resident of Yeyyadi of Mangaluru city.
Lokanath, hanged himself at his residence on Saturday.
According to Kankanady Police, no suicide letter was found at his home, and it is being suspected that his illness prompted him to take the extreme step.
A police source informed Vartha Bharati that Loknath was suffering from some health issues from last four months, and that is why it is suspected that he committed suicide.
Lokanath is survived by his wife and two children.
A case has been registered at Kankanady Police Station here.

Reports claim Burj Al Arab hit by Iranian missile, videos surface
Dubai: Unverified reports circulating on social media claim that the Burj Al Arab has been hit by an Iranian missile, with videos showing part of the building engulfed in flames.
The footage, which has not been independently verified, appears to show fire and smoke rising from a section of the hotel.
However, there has been no official confirmation from UAE authorities regarding any strike on the Burj Al Arab.
No details are available at this stage about possible damage or casualties. Authorities are yet to issue a formal statement on the reported incident.
