Puttur: In a case where a woman was allegedly raped after being promised marriage and later deceived while pregnant, the DNA report has now confirmed that the child belongs to the accused, Shri Krishna J. Rao, son of BJP leader P.G. Jagannivas Rao. The report was disclosed by K.P. Nanjundi, State President of Vishwakarma Maha Mandal, during a press conference held in Puttur on Saturday.
According to Nanjundi, the DNA results, submitted to the court on Friday, show a clear match between the child and the accused, confirming him as the father. The victim’s family has been informed about the findings. He expressed that such acts are a grave injustice against women from economically weaker sections of society. Nanjundi also compared the situation to earlier times when a “trial by fire” was used, stating that today, DNA testing provides the ultimate truth.
Nanjundi further demanded that Shrikrishna J. Rao should marry the victim, emphasizing that it would be in the best interest of both parties. While legal proceedings will continue in court, he called on organizations and leaders associated with Hindu groups, including RSS, Bajrang Dal, and Shri Ram Sene, to ensure justice for the Hindu community victim.
The press conference was attended by the victim, her mother Namita Acharya, and key representatives from the Vishwakarma Maha Mandal.
