Udupi: Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency’s Deputy Commissioner and Electoral Officer Hephsibah Rani Korlapati paid a surprise visit to the Udupi’s St. Sicily School on Sunday where officers selected for Election duty during Lok Sabha Elections were being trained.
The surprise visit of Deputy Commissioner stirred confusion among the trainers and trainee staffs for sometime before the DC instructed staffs to continue the training.
The Deputy Commissioner then enquired if the officers had any doubts regarding the election process and instructed the officers not avoid talking at the voting centres. “If you have problems raise it directly, avoid unnecessary talking at the booth. Udupi district has been model district during elections and we need to make sure it continues like that during this election as well”.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all officers and staff should work in co-ordination of each other and ensure that free and fair election is conducted.
